Fast Weather Facts and Folklore

AMAZING WEATHER FACT - Hurricane Bob was the second named storm, first hurricane and first major hurricane of the 1991 Atlantic hurricane season. The only hurricane to make U.S. landfall during the 1991 season, Bob brushed the Outer Banks of North Carolina as it moved northward. The storm then struck New England and later Atlantic Canada as a Category 2 hurricane. Bob left eighteen people dead and $2.8 billion dollars (2005 USD) in damage. It is still the most recent hurricane to strike New England, as of 2009.
