Blocking from a strong upper level ridge over Greenland will prevent a low pressure system from affecting New England early next week. The low will exit the mid Atlantic coast and head out to sea. The image above shows the 18Z NAM 54hr Reflectivity with the low centered just off the Delmarva Peninsula.
Next week should feature daytime temperatures at or slightly below normal and nighttime lows below normal. The coastal plain will be fairly dry, with upslope snow showers in the mountains.
